Very few people know about the International day of tea . And meanwhile, we such holiday, and people celebrate it on December 15 generally in those countries where tea is grown up and made. However, if you the real fan to drink tea, nothing prevents you to celebrate this holiday.

The international day of tea for the first time passed in 2005 in New Delhi. It was carried out to draw attention of society and politicians to tea sale problems, position of workers of tea productions, and also promoting of this drink in the world.

It is known that the remarkable the tradition to drink tea came from the East. However, in many countries tea traditions differ.

The tea history developed throughout several centuries. Tea quickly spread on all territory of the country and won love of the most different segments of the population. Tea drinking was included strongly into everyday life of people and became its integral part. The national traditions connected with this drink were so gradually created.

Tea came to us from China. China is the first place in the world that learned to cultivate this plant, and from there tea began the victorious procession along the countries and continents. China is a natural territory of growth of tea. According legends its history is more than 5000 years old. It is an ancient gift. Therefore its history leaves deep into centuries. Emergence of tea is fanned by legends.

One of the legends people refer to the first tea appeared unexpectedly. Once upon a time a Chinese emperor boiled water and some leaves from a tea-plant fell in a drinking bowl, and water darkened. The emperor liked its nice and pleasant aroma. They tasted tea and admired its taste. It was the tea drinking in the world.


The history of the emergence of tea in Kazakhstan
Nearly in V-VI century Chinese start trading tea with Turkic tribes, for tea trade there comes "Golden Age" - tea is learned by the nomadic people of the Great steppe. Nomads found out that the use of this drink helps to avoid the typical diseases and to suffer hot weather. So in Kazakhstan tea appeared due to the Saks queen Tomiris. Since then tea in Kazakhstan to take the main place in lives of Kazakh people.

What is the Kazakh tea drinking? Tea drinking as a component of a meal is certainly included in the traditional entertainments accompanying numerous ceremonies of Kazakhs. It opens any traditional feast. At the end of a meal it was used to give koumiss earlier, and today instead of koumiss people arrange tea drinking

Kazakhs traditionally prefer to drink black tea. Today Kazakhs call black tea “red tea” (Kyzyl Shai). The word "red" indicates not color of tea leaves here, and for color of tea leaves and for color of tea after its addition in cream: it has to be not whitish, but red, i.e. tea leaves have to be strong. To storage tea Kazakhs used small chests – Shai Sangdyk – wooden, frequent on legs with a loop and a lock. Everything that was necessary for tea drinking was stored there: the tea, sweet, sugar

Kazakhs traditionally drink black tea – sheet, tiled, and, only hot. Tea is usually drank from a drinking bowl, without hurrying and enjoying each sip. There are several recipes Kazakh people make tea.

Tea in Kazakh way

Dry tea – 4–5 teaspoons, water – 500 ml, the sweetened cream or milk. Put tea in boiled water and in three minutes add cream. Mix it and filter in other jar then again to pour in the first jar, so that liquid was uniform. The tea is ready to drink in two minutes.


In the book "All about Tea and Coffee" it is told about such method of preparation of tea: "Kazakhs spill super hot tea in drinking bowls, add a pinch of hot pepper and a little fried wheat".

Modern Kazakhs especially love green tea, often make it in the simplest way and enjoy it both in hot, and in cold weather, adding to it most often milk or cream.


The history of the emergence of tea in Britain.

Tea isn't grown up in Britain , but, perhaps, Britain is one of leaders in drinking tea.

In 1662 the British king Charles II married the Portuguese princess, the fan of tea drinking. But drink wasn't to the taste to the king. He imposed on tea import high taxes. Despite it tea imported more and more.

In XIX century tea started being imported from China, then India and Ceylon became the leading suppliers.

Before British got acquainted with tea, they knew only two main meals – a breakfast and a lunch. The lunch was a long and plentiful feast at the end of day. Having adopted the European habit of tea drinking, British entered additional day meal at 5 o'clock. A basis of the menu were small pies, sandwiches with butter, sweets and, of course, tea.

In 1680 it is for the first time mentioned the addition of milk in tea. Approximately at the same time began to add sugar. Soon there was a Christmas tea when in mulled wine, favourite drink of British, added tea.


British tea traditions

According to English tea etiquette, it is impossible to limit choice of grades of tea. Usually on a choice 8-10 grades of tea are offered.

By tradition, for afternoon tea British serve bread, salty butter, fresh cucumbers and tomatoes, eggs, toasts with cinnamon, almond cookies, jams, biscuits, rolls, donuts, cakes and pies. And, of course, the snack, most known in the world, – sandwiches. Lord John Sandwich possesses idea of preparation of sandwiches from two plates of bread with a stuffing from ham, chocolate or jam in the middle. In such look it is much more convenient to warm up and serve sandwich to a table.


English tea drinking, as well as any ceremony, doesn't suffer vanity. Everything is called for a maximum of pleasant feelings here – from refined taste of tea before communication in the pleasant company.

Having 59 million people of the population, British daily drink 165 million cups of tea. And 86% of cups of tea are drunk at home.


British have tea three times a day and in strictly certain time: in the morning at breakfast, at 13 o'clock behind lunch and in a so-called “five o’clock tea " (at 17 o'clock).

The most favourite tea drinking is five o’clock tea. At this time usually at somebody houses gather old friends and friends.

There are many sorts and recipes of British tea.

Juicy orange tea

For 4 portions leaf black tea "Orange Peko" - 4 teaspoons, a little carnation, some slices of a dried orange-peel, boiled water - 3 cups.

- To place a tea leaf, a carnation and orange-peels in a clay jug. To fill in with boiled water and to insist 5 minutes. To filter and pour on cups.


English tea with seasonings

1 glass of tea, 4 slices of cinnamon, 1 teaspoon of a carnation, 3 teaspoons of a lemon crust

In a glass of the tea made in the usual way some minutes to draw cinnamon, a carnation and a grated lemon crust


Medical features of tea

Tea is useful to heart

The use of tea reduces risk of heart diseases. It occurs mainly because the antioxidants containing in tea neutralize oxidation products in an organism and promote appropriate functioning an endoteliya, or an internal wall of vessels.

Tea protects from a cancer

Researches also showed that tea helps to fight against some forms of cancer diseases at the initial and progressing stage.

Tea and hygiene of an oral cavity

Tea is a good source of fluoride. Four-five cups of tea in day provide to 50% of daily need of fluorine for an organism.

Regular consumption of fluorine protects teeth from destruction. Tea in a certain degree interferes with growth of harmful microorganisms in an oral cavity, thereby, protects teeth and gums from their harmful effects.


But there are rules doctors don't recommend to drink tea:

• Don’t drink tea if you are hungry

• Don’t drink cold tea. While warm and hot makes you feel cheerful, do clear consciousness and sight.

• Don't abuse strong tea, especially at night.

• Don't pills with tea, tea destroys their properties.

• You shouldn't drink tea at once after food. Between tea and food the break 20–30 minutes is necessary.


Conclusion

According to our research we can find common aspects in British and Kazakh tea drinking:

1. Tea, as plant, and soon as drinking came from China, India and Ceylon.

2. For both nations tea is an integral part of national culture on extents of several centuries.

3. Both in Kazakhstan, and in Great Britain there exist tea traditions and ceremonies, for example, in Kazakhstan tea is drank with cream and drink it from drinking bowls, thus add a little pepper and wheat that tea in Kazakh is called; and in Britain people love tea with milk that tea is called English tea.

4. English and Kazakh tea drinking, as well as any ceremony, doesn't suffer vanity. Everything is called for a maximum of pleasant feelings here – from refined taste of tea before communication in the pleasant company.
