The film was inspired by the memoir Travelling to Infinity: My life with Stephen by Jane Wilde Hawking, which deals with her relationship with her ex-husband, theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking, his diagnosis of motor neuron disease, and his success in physics. •The story of the physicist Stephen Hawking and Jane Wilde, the literature student he fell in love with whilst studying at Cambridg in the 1960s. •In the leading roles- Eddie Redmayne as Stephen Hawkingand Felicity Jones as Jane (Wilde) Hawking.
