Dear Svetlana Sergeevna!
I received your letter yesterday and I was very happy to hear from you. You ask me about American teenagers and how they use computers at college and at home.

Well, I can say that boys and girls in America spend a lot of time sitting in front of their computers playing games, watching videos and chatting with their friends in chat-rooms.

You know that the number of Internet users is growing every year. For many people Internet has completely substituted their real life. Some teens want to escape from reality. They surf the Net days and nights and waste the time in cyberspace. Of course, the most popular sites are the sites where you can download music and video files or talk to your friends. Facebook is the most popular social network not only in America, but in the whole world.

Sometimes our teachers give us some special home task and we have to go the Internet to do it. When we prepare reports, make projects or do research the website - Wikipedia, helps us a lot, because it is the largest Internet encyclopedia and you can find all the information you need in it. I’m sure, that Russian students do the same. Our college has its own website and we can find our timetable or learn the latest news in it.
