Мотивация учащихся

В начале урока имеет место организационный момент – беседа с учениками для постепенного введения в иноязычную среду.

Далее озвучивается тема урока. Исходя из темы урока, учащиеся вместе с учителем формулируют цели урока. Совместное целеполагание способствует повышению мотивации учащихся, которая поддерживается в ходе всего урока разнообразием видов речевой деятельности. Совместное целеполагание является требованием ФГОС.

 

Ход урока

 

1. Организационный момент.
Цель: снять напряжение: настроить детей на работу; вести в атмосферу иноязычной речи, погрузить в языковую среду.

- Good morning, boys and girls! (Good morning!)

- Say Good morning to our guests! (Good morning!)

- I am glad to see you. (We are glad to see you, too)

- Sit down, please. Get ready for the lesson. I am waiting for you to be quiet. Let’s start our lesson.

- What date is it today?

- Who is absent today?

 

2. Фонетическая зарядка (ex.115,p.120).

First let’s practice the English sounds. Open your textbooks at page 120, exercise 115. Listen to the speaker and then repeat the words after him.

 

3. Лексическая зарядка.

T: Did you guess the topic of our lesson? I think you did. What shall we speak about today?
P:Today we’ll speak about the sights of London. (Слайд 1)
T: Yes, you are right. You have already learnt about London. But what are the tasks for our today's lesson. (Слайд 2).

First of all answer the questions, please. (Слайд 3)
            1. What sights of London do you know?
            2. Have you ever been to London?
            3. Would you like to visit London? Why?

 

T: And now find words and sights of London. Look at the table. You have three minutes to do this task (Слайд 4):

4. Речевая зарядка.

T: If we are going to travel together in the future it will be necessary for us to find the places that we want to visit.  Try to guess, what sights of London we speak about. What is it?

(Two pupils prepared the description of the sights at home, others will try to guess)

P1:      It is one of the most famous bells in the world. You can hear its deep tone on the BBC.             It is a symbol of London and Britain.
P2:      I think it is Big Ben.
P1:      You are right. Let’s see this place. (Слайд6)

P1:      It’s the home of the British Royal Family in London. Outside the palace we can watch   a colorful ceremony of the Changing of the Guard.
P3:      I think it is Buckingham Palace.

P1:      The buildings in which the British Parliament sits.
P4:      These are the Houses of Parliament.
P1:      You are right. (Слайд8)

P1:      It is the best-known bridge. It was built in 1897. This bridge is across the Thames.
P5:      It is the Tower Bridge.

P1:      It is a fine cathedral in the central London. It was built by Sir Christopher Wren.
P6:      It is St. Paul’s Cathedral.

P1:      It is a large gothic church. It was built in the 11th century. Almost all kings and queens   have been crowned there. Many famous British people are buried there.
P7:      It is Westminster Abbey.

P1:      It is an ancient fortress in London. It was a royal palace and a prison for important         people. Today it’s a museum.

T: OK, you know a lot of places in London. But we can lose our way. It will be very important for you to ask some help and if you know the way you‘ll help the person to find the way. Show your own dialogues with your partners. Be ready in a minute.

- Oh. It is very easy. Can you see this building? You see the House of Parliament. Near the House of Parliament you can see Westminster Abbey.

- Oh, of course. It’s very easy. Can you see that wide street over there?

- It’s just in front of you! Look!

- Oh, the Houses of Parliament stand beside the River Thames, near the famous bell Big Ben.

6. Развитие навыков аудирования.
Now let’s listen to the dialogue about the Russian students who visited London. Open your books at page 119, exercise 113. Follow the task.

T: I see that you are tired. Will you stand up? Let’s remember our poem about London and do exercises.
(Учащиеся и учитель вместе рассказывают стихотворение и выполняют упражнения.)

8. Проверка домашнего задания
You remember many places of interest in London but about one of the places you read at home. Now let’s check your homework.
What was your home task? (P: Exercise 117, page 120)
You had to read that text at home for understanding and now will you please answer the questions according to this text (ex.118, p.121)

9. Развитие навыков чтения.(Слайд 16)

T: I have an interesting story about one of the magical places. But in this story there are some missing words. You will put missing verbs from the box in the right form. Read, translate and answer the questions.

For a long time The Tower of London___a fortress, a prison, and a palace. Many queens and kings ___ there. In the Tower you __ see the famous Beefeaters and ravens. The legend says,”Only so long as the ravens___ , will the White Tower ___”The raven master is a person who ___them food.
