Nowadays SMS (SMS - short message service) and mobile phones play very important role in our lives.

Modern language is changing rapidly. Now without a special slang dictionary it is rather difficult to understand an elementary text message. Letters are replaced by figures, we express our mood and emotions through the “smiles”, Cyrillic letters replaced by Latin and vice versa. SMS- language has a lot in common with the internet slang. 

According to the latest survey results, today's youth cannot imagine the life without a mobile phones and SMS. Most of them use the same “smiles” and shortenings. This fact proves that young people can easily understand each other even if they start communicating in SMS slang with a stranger.
