ПУТЕШЕСТВИЕ ПО ПРАЗДНИКАМ

 

Мы отправляемся в морское путешествие. Нам с вами предстоит посетить пять островов, на каждом из которых живет один из английских праздников. К сожалению, я не могу сообщить вам тему нашего урока, т.к. сильный ветер унес ее и развеял по пяти островам. И для того чтобы найти ее нам нужно будет на каждом из островов применить свои знания, смекалку и эрудицию. Итак, в путь!

Но наши корабли не могут отправиться в путешествие без капитанов. Те из вас, кто быстро и правильно расставят эти праздники в том порядке, в каком они идут по календарю и станут капитанами кораблей.

It’s a tradition to celebrate Guy Fawkes’s Day. In 1605, a man called Guy Fawkes wanted to blow up the Houses of Parliament because he didn’t like the king. They found Guy Fawkes and killed him. Every year we light fireworks and burn a ‘guy’. You can see bonfires and fireworks. People bring old boxes, newspapers and wood and make bonfires. Children make a guy, a figure of a man, and put it on the top of a bonfire. We eat jacket potatoes and hot dogs and watch the fireworks.

Traditional colors of this holiday are red and green. People send greetings to each other. They sing and hear many songs.

 

    A snowman must write about this holiday, but he didn’t listen attentively and missed some words. Help him to fill in the gaps.

The 14th of February is called St. Valentine’s Day. It is a day of love and friendship. We send greeting cards to our sweethearts and friends and ask them to “Be My Valentine”. We also decorate our classrooms with big red hearts and give red roses and chocolate to our sweethearts, friends and families.
