 Motherland is a part of each person. This is a place where he or she was born where he lived and lives. As for me, my native land is Kalmykia. The sea of tulips,  the lark’s thrill and the smell of wormwood after the rain are so dear and close to me ! I so respect and honour the culture and traditions of my people! 

        My small Kalmykia is a part of the huge and immense Russian Federation. Our republic has been together with Russia for 400 years. This anniversary was widely marked this year. Kalmykia has a nice and rich history which is interesting and fascinating for studying. I am sure that there is no present and future without the past. Not to remember the past is a crime in relation to a historical cultural heritage of Kalmykia
