THE TOWER OF LONDON
It is a castle complex of several buildings with the most famous White Tower in the centre, which was completed in 1097. In the past it was a fortress, a royal palace, a place of execution and a prison

The Crown Jewels of the United Kingdom kept at the Tower of London are the crowns, swords, rings, robes, etc worn by kings and queens of the United Kingdom during coronation and other ceremonies.

THE BEEFEATERS are official guardians of the Tower of London. Contemporary beefeaters act as tour guides and are a tourist attraction themselves. All beefeaters are former officers with at least 22 years of service in the British Armed Forces.

BIG BEN
Big Ben is the nickname of the great hour bell inside the Clock Tower at the north-eastern end of the Houses of Parliament. People commonly apply the name of Big Ben to the Clock Tower. The bell and clock were installed together in 1859. The are several theories for the origin of the name , the most popular being that the bell was named after the commissioner of works – Sir Benjamin Hall.
