Тема: План-конспект урока домашнего чтения по предмету «Английский язык» в рамках темы «Health and Body Care» по УМК «English» для учащихся И.Н. Верещагиной, О.В. Афанасьевой.

Цели урока:

предметные:

  • развитие навыков чтения с целью детального понимания прочитанного;
  • совершенствование лексических навыков по теме «Здоровье»;
  • закрепление грамматических навыков (косвенная речь, порядок слов в вопросительном предложении);
  • тренировка навыков монологической речи.

метапредметные:

развивать языковую догадку, память, внимание, интерес к изучению иностранного языка

личностные:

воспитывать культуру общения в разных видах коллективного взаимодействия

Оснащение урока: раздаточный материал, таблички с названиями команд, таблички с оценками для жюри. 

Ход урока

I. Организационный момент

- Good morning, pupils!

- Nice to meet you!

II. Сообщение целей урока

- Today you will read and discuss the text about Mr Martin. Then you will try to give a short summary of the story.

- You will work in groups. Lets divide into three groups. 

- It is our jury. Three English teachers will mark your answers. 

- Here is a table for your results.

III. Тренировка в чтении с общим охватом содержания

- Open your books at p. 229, please. Each team will read one by one, sentence by sentence. 

- Dear teachers, mark the pupils reading, please.Выставление баллов (за каждое задание).

IV. Проверка понимания прочитанного текста

- Listen to my statements. Repeat the right sentences and correct the wrong ones.

  1. Mr Martin lived in a big house in a small town.
  2. He was interested in the UK, the Royal family and his history.
  3. Mr Martin did not like to talk about any problems.
  4. Mr Martin did not read a lot about health.
  5. He was afraid of getting some terrible illness.
  6. Mr Martin definitely believed his doctor.
  7. Mr Martin often caught a cold.
  8. Mr Martin was not a healthy man.
  9. One day Mr Martin read about a terrible illness in the magazine.

V. Тренировка навыков перевода.

- Find and translate the sentences:

  1. about Mr Martins interests (for the first team);
  2. about Mr Martins way of life (for the second team);
  3. to prove that Mr Martin was a healthy man (for the third team).

VI. Физкультминутка

- Stand up! Hands up, Hands down, Hands on hips,  Sit down. Hands up, To the side. Turn left, Turn right, One, two, three, hop, One, two, three, stop. Sit down.

VII. Тренировка в употреблении косвенной речи

- Say what the doctor told Mr Martin. На карточках предложения:

  1. There are no signs that you have a terrible illness.
  2. People dont know when they have this illness.
  3. People dont cough or sneeze, their pulse is normal.
  4. Dont be silly. 
  5. It doesnt hurt them to move or to breathe. 
  6. You shouldnt worry.

VIII. Тренировка в составлении вопросов к тексту

- Make up questions. Let your classmates answer them. На карточках:

  1. did, where, live, Mr Martin?
  2. Mr Martin, why, not, did, out, go, cold, when, the weather, was?
  3. in, things, interested, what, was, he?
  4. did, Mr Martin, whom, tell, illness, the terrible, about?
  5. the doctors, why, into, Mr Martin, office, did, hurry?
  6. Mr Martin, a healthy, was, man?

IX. Тренировка навыков монологической речи

- Put the sentences in a logical order and use them as a plan to give a sort summary of the text.

  1. Не was afraid of getting some terrible illness.
  2. He wanted to know more about the UK and the government.
  3. One day Mr Martin came to the doctor office and told him about a new illness.
  4. Mr Martin lived in a small house in a village.
  5. Mr Martin especially interested in the problems of heath.
  6. The doctor was surprised because Mr Martin was not ill.

X. Закрепление лексики по теме «Health»

- Find and read out from the text all the words and word combinations re-ferring to the topic «Health».

XI. Итоги урока

- All right then. Lets stop there. At home you will prepare to give a short summary of the text.

Учитель подводит итоги работы каждой команды.
