Урок с применением технологии обучения в малых группах сотрудничества

Цель урока: Развитие коммуникативных умений в устной речи.

Данный урок продолжает изучение темы “The Job of Your Dreams” второго юнита УМК Enjoy English -11 класс. Авторы М.З. Биболетова, Е.Е. Бабушис.

При подготовке к уроку были учтены программные требования и в соответствии с ними были поставлены следующие задачи:

  1. Образовательная: развивать умения общения на английском языке, умения аудирования; активизировать лексику по теме, формировать социокультурную компетенцию.
  2. Развивающая: развивать интеллектуальные способности обучающихся, самостоятельность мышления, способствовать развитию чувства языка, языковой догадки, выбирать убедительную аргументацию, уточняющую собственную позицию.
  3. Воспитательная: развивать умения сотрудничества в условиях групповой работы, прививать уважение и интерес к стране изучаемого языка.

На уроке был использован раздаточный материал для групповой работы. Оснащение урока: мультимедийная установка, видео “Oxford University vs Cambridge University”, УМК Enjoy English-11 класс.

В ходе урока присутствовали такие этапы как организационный момент, объяснение целей и задач урока, речевая зарядка, основная часть (работа обучающихся в малых группах сотрудничества – общение на английском языке в ходе выполнения совместного задания, и работа с текстом учебника), просмотр видео по теме урока Oxford University vs (versus) Cambridge University, обсуждение просмотренного и прослушанного (работа в группах); и заключительный этап урока – рефлексия и подведение итогов урока.

Ход урока: 

I. Организационный момент. Сообщение темы и целей урока.

Good morning, dear friends! How are you? I hope you are fine and let’s start our lesson.

I think we have an interesting and important theme of the lesson today because you are the eleventh graders, you are going to have your final exams soon and of course you think about your future education. Am I right? So, look at the blackboard, the theme of our lesson is “What happens after school?” 

II. Речевая зарядка.

Fine! How do you think what are the most important items? May be Exams and University. Today well speak about your final assessment and about your further education.

2. Lets speak about your final exams. But first lets remember these words and expressions and answer some questions:To be optimisticTo be pessimisticTo be worriedTo be scaredI am just enjoying myselfTo give a good adviceI’d like to enter (college, institute, and university) after leaving schoolTo get necessary knowledgeIt’s amazing (interesting, great, too far from home, too expensive). To have more job opportunitiesTo guarantee a high salary in futureTo reviseRevisionTo revise a lot of materialTo get education abroad

  1. Are you optimistic about your future?
  2. Have you talked about your future plans with your parents and classmates?
  3. Do you often think about your final exams?
  4. Have you been revising material for your exams?
  5. Are you worried and nervous about taking exams?
  6. Are you feeling stress now?

III. Основной этап 

1. I see, you are worried about exams, maybe youre scared. You have to revise and revise and revise a lot, so stressful! But I try to help you. Divide into groups. Each group consists of student, school psychologists (they are very competent) and a doctor. Students tell them about their feelings and problems and psychologists and doctors should listen to them, and try to give useful tips and advices how to cope with stress before exams.(Students work in groups) Summing up.

Fine! Thank you! Students are clever and hard working, psychologists and doctors are very competent. They gave students very nice and wise advices. Dont worry about exams. I am sure youll pass. And what are going to do after leaving school?

2. Thanks. And now Id like to suggest you a short film about the most famous universities in Great Britain: Oxford University and Cambridge University. Work in groups. One group should listen to the information about Oxford, the second group tries to understand the information about Cambridge University, and students from the third group are experts.

They listen to the information about both universities and help students with their answers. You should watch video very attentively, make notes and then tell us about some new and amazing facts about these universities.   1. I am so scared. The examination procedure is strict. I have to pass exams with excellent grades in order to get a place in a university.Student

  3. I suppose its good to have exams. Sometimes its a nice surprise to see that Ive done better than I expected. And I like tests because the classroom is always so quiet and it helps to concentrate and do your best.Student
  4. My final exams make me depressed and worried. Ill have to revise a lot of material. It is so stressful.
